When she was a child, Mary Sue had her lateral incisors extracted to correct crowding. Her larger canine teeth were moved into the lateral incisor positions with braces. Even though that straightened her teeth, the result was an unnaturally prominent and unbalanced smile.

Using porcelain veneers, we converted her canines into small, more delicate lateral incisors and made her first bicuspids look like canines. Mary Sue's back teeth were made longer and fuller to help re-proportion her teeth and give a more feminine, balanced appearance.
